I ran a mile!!!

I signed us up for the gym today.  The paperwork took a while so I just did a “quick” mile on the treadmill before getting the girls from the nursery.  I warmed up with a walk, then ran 1 mile.  No stops, no breaks, no slowdowns.  Ran 1 mile!!   It is such a small thing, but I was really proud of myself.  Nothing fast, 12min mile pace, but still, I did it!  And I could have kept going which felt great.

The girls did ok in the nursery.  My toddler liked playing but was very glad to see me.  I need to time it better because we were too close to lunch/nap.  But that will (hopefully) work itself out!

Ah, it feels good!

Rain, rain go away….

I can’t believe it’s already fall here.  The mornings are crisp and cool, not that they are ever warm as the high most days is 59, but there’s a different feel now.  And it’s raining…. a lot.

My plan for today is to go and join the gym.  I know I could do dvd work outs or something at home, but I like the treadmill, I like the elliptical, I like weights.  So… off we go!
